„Když jsem se poprvé začala více zajímat o to, co jsem vnímala jako kulturní hnutí, které bylo liberální ve svých metodách a velmi pochybné ve svých myšlenkách, byla jsem si jistá, že když promluvím, mnoho lidí bude z mých názorů smutných,“ řekla Rowlingová v podcastu. „Až čas ukáže, jestli jsem udělala něco špatně. Mohu jen říci, že jsem o tom hluboce, usilovně a dlouho přemýšlela. A přísahám, že jsem se snažila poslouchat i názory druhé strany,“ dodala Rowlingová.

Autorka na svůj tweet z roku 2019 dostala tisíce reakcí a odpovědí od fanoušků, kteří vyjadřovali své zklamání a znechucení nad jejími názory, píše zpravodajský server Sky News. Proti názorům autorky se veřejně postavily také hvězdy filmů Harryho Pottera, a to včetně herců hlavních rolí Daniela Radcliffa, Emmy Watson a Ruperta Grinta. (…)
